Teynham Village Sign
It must be agreed that the new village sign that replaces the original, which had deteriorated beyond repair, is very splendid and the work of a master craftsman. That master craftsman is Mr David Stanley of Nutberry Close who, working to the Parish Council's specifications, manufactured and donated the sign. As a gesture of its thanks and goodwill the Parish Council made a payment to David to donate to a charity of his choice.
David decided to divide the money between two beneficiaries, Demelza House Children's Hospice and St Mary's Church Restoration Fund. The photographs below show David making the presentations.
